Third Day of Tashreeq: Pilgrims Complete Their Rituals

On the third day of Tashreeq, non-accelerated pilgrims conclude their rituals today, Friday, by throwing the three Jamarat and performing the farewell Tawaf. This follows the completion of the three Jamarat and the farewell Tawaf by fifty thousand hurried pilgrims yesterday, amidst health and precautionary measures supervised by various concerned authorities. Before heading to the Grand Mosque to perform the Tawaf, the guests of Allah completed throwing the three Jamarat on the second day of Tashreeq effortlessly, starting with the small Jamarah, then the middle one, and finally the Jamarat Al-Aqaba.

The pilgrims were then transferred to the Jamarat Bridge and the Holy Mosque according to a detailed operational and preventative plan, with direct field supervision and full coordination between the security and civilian sectors involved in the Hajj season.

**Praise for Saudi Measures**

It is noteworthy that several Arab and Islamic countries and organizations praised the successful Hajj season this year, which was limited to 60,000 vaccinated pilgrims among citizens and residents inside Saudi Arabia, in light of the ongoing developments of the COVID-19 pandemic and the emergence of new virus mutations. This comes after the Saudi Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, announced on Thursday the success of this year's health plans for Hajj, with no COVID-19 cases or other epidemic diseases reported.

The World Health Organization welcomed the measures taken by Saudi Arabia during this year's Hajj season to curb the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of pilgrims. The Director-General of the organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, tweeted, "As believers gather to perform Hajj this year, we welcome the public health planning and the steps taken by Saudi Arabia to ensure the safety of pilgrims and their communities during the COVID-19 pandemic."
