Salah and a Message from Liverpool Fans: "We Will Never Forgive You"

Salah and a Message from Liverpool Fans:

Liverpool fans praised the performance of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah during the match against Porto on Wednesday evening in the fifth round of the Group B fixtures in the UEFA Champions League. Thiago Alcantara and Mohamed Salah scored two goals in the second half, continuing Liverpool's winning streak in the Champions League, having already secured the top spot in the group and qualification for the Round of 16.

On social media platform Twitter, Liverpool fans expressed their admiration for Salah's performance over 70 minutes against Porto and reiterated their request to the club's management to grant the Egyptian star a new contract to keep him at Anfield for as long as possible. One fan sarcastically commented on the delay in renewing Salah's contract, saying, "Will you give him a new contract when he breaks a record in the Milan match?" Another tweeted, "The king... he is the best in the world."

One fan said, "A new day means breaking another record; it’s just things for Mohamed Salah." Salah was described as the best after equaling Steven Gerrard's record in the Champions League, with someone tweeting, "Salah is the best player on this planet." Another fan called for renewing Salah's contract, saying, "Announce that he has been given a lifetime contract."

Another expressed admiration for Salah's shot into Porto's net, tweeting, "What a finish! He's a really good man." Meanwhile, one fan commented on the possibility of Salah leaving Liverpool, writing, "If this man's contract ends without renewal and he goes to another club, it will be a huge loss for Liverpool, and the Reds fans will never forgive them."

For his part, German coach Jürgen Klopp, in remarks to BT Sport, said, "It was a good win. We could have performed better and been calmer in the first half, but we were a bit rushed." He added, "It's not unusual when you put together a team that hasn’t played many matches together. Some people think we might play an easy game, but we weren’t here for that; Anfield's tickets were sold out, so we wanted to go for the win."
