His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, discussed the strong brotherly relations, paths for bilateral cooperation, and promising opportunities for development in various fields in light of the special strategic partnership between the two brotherly countries, as well as a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
This took place during a meeting held today at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed welcomed his brother Prince Mohammed bin Salman, expressing his happiness for his visit to the United Arab Emirates. For his part, the Saudi Crown Prince conveyed the congratulations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the UAE's Union, praying to God to grant the UAE and its people prosperity, development, and growth.
During their meeting, both leaders reviewed various aspects of strategic cooperation between the two countries, which is based on strong pillars of understanding, cooperation, joint work, and mutual interests. They also discussed the importance of activating joint Gulf and Arab work and addressed several regional and international issues of concern to both countries, emphasizing the necessity of working to solidify the pillars of regional stability, which form the main common base for development and progress.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed conveyed his greetings to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, praying to God to grant him health and wellness and to safeguard the Kingdom and its people, blessing its prosperity and goodness. He stated that the relations between the UAE and Saudi Arabia are akin to those of siblings, reflecting a deep significance and meaning, affirming their belief that "the destiny is one," which is the main foundation of the relationship between the two nations.
He pointed out that due to the efforts of Sheikh Zayed and his brothers from the kingdom's kings, along with the positions of the President and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the relations between the two countries have become distinguished and unique, based on strong pillars of brotherhood, history, geography, and common interests. He emphasized that the Kingdom is a fundamental pillar of the Gulf and Arab joint action and a major weight in the balance of regional and Arab security.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman expressed his happiness to visit the UAE during its national celebrations, conveying sincere congratulations and wishes to the UAE government and people for continued progress and prosperity. He further expressed the Kingdom's pride in its brotherly relations with the United Arab Emirates, emphasizing that the relationship between the two countries has its uniqueness, grounded in a long history of established brotherly relations.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded Prince Mohammed bin Salman the "Zayed Medal," which is granted to highnesses, kings, presidents, and leaders who play a prominent and exceptional role in solidifying relations between their countries and the UAE, as a recognition of Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s pivotal role in enhancing the brotherly relations and cooperation between the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed presented the medal to Prince Mohammed bin Salman during the ceremony held at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. He also hosted a dinner banquet in honor of the Saudi Crown Prince and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting and the banquet were attended by several dignitaries and officials from both sides, including high-ranking members of the UAE and Saudi Arabian governments, emphasizing the strong ties and mutual respect between both nations.
