WhatsApp Introduces 7 Amazing New Features

WhatsApp has introduced seven amazing new features for phones running iOS and Android. Since the beginning of 2022, WhatsApp has been adding many services in an effort to make the user experience more convenient and comfortable in light of fierce competition with other applications. In this context, tech news reports indicated that WhatsApp is currently working on adding new features for iOS and Android devices and testing them before their official launch. According to the tech news site WABetaInfo, which tracks WhatsApp developments, the features are already available in the beta version, including the following:

**Admins Can Delete Members' Messages**

Group admins will have the ability to delete messages written by members, giving them greater control over group conversations, particularly for removing inappropriate messages. The affected user will see a message stating, "Admin deleted this message."

**Two-Step Verification for WhatsApp on Desktop**

The instant messaging application aims to enhance the security of WhatsApp users on desktops by implementing a two-step verification process for user identity. This feature will be optional, allowing users to either use it or ignore it. It can be accessed through Settings, then Account, and Security, where the anticipated feature will be available. The two steps required are different from the six-digit code that is sent via text message to register the app, according to Sky News.

**Interact with Messages Like Facebook and Instagram**

The new service allows users to interact with others’ messages like social networking applications, requiring only a click on the message they wish to respond to, followed by a swipe to choose the appropriate emoji. This will be displayed under the text and all group members will see it.

**Animated Emoji**

The app is working on adding animated emojis for Android and iOS users, noting that the currently available emojis are limited to the red heart.

**Restrict People Who Can See User Status**

This feature provides users with more privacy, as they will be able to specify a list of users who can view their shared status updates.

**Media Messages and Status Together**

The popular instant messaging app will allow users to share images and videos with others and place them in their status in one step, unlike the current process.

**Shortcut to Contact Information Search**

There will be a new search shortcut to the redesigned contact information section, with the new search shortcut being added next to the video call icon. Users will also be able to see the new shortcut in the group information section, allowing them to more easily search for any messages they have sent or received.
