The Iraqi artist Saif Nabil revealed the reason for his delay in getting into a relationship, stating that he is cautious in his choices, especially in matters of emotion. He hopes that things will happen by chance rather than by force, as he described.
In an open dialogue with his colleague, the artist Rahma Riad, on the program "Besaraha Ma’a," which airs on MBC, he expressed his support for relationships and getting to know one another before marriage. He clarified that such a relationship should be within the framework of respect and decorum so both partners can learn about each other and discover their patience in dealing with one another. Saif noted that his life as an artist may not suit any partner, especially given the work and travel circumstances. Therefore, he encourages proper acquaintance and caution before taking this step.
On another note, Rahma Riad asked Saif about the impact of his father's death on his life. He answered that his father was a "shelter" for him and his passing was the biggest shock of his life. Saif explained that his father died following a stroke, adding, "I was traveling for a concert in northern Iraq, and it was my first artistic debut. Halfway there, they called me and informed me that my father was taken to the hospital. At that time, I called and canceled the concert and returned to find my father taking his last breaths. Tears were about to fall from my eyes, but I held them back."
Saif shared that his father held his hand tightly at that moment, expressing, "My father was unable to speak and was holding my hand as if to say, 'You will take my place.' This strengthened me a lot and made me feel trust and responsibility." He continued, emotionally affected: "My father's death placed a responsibility on me and made me tenfold the man. My father was wise, and I learned wisdom from him. I learned not to rush, not to get angry, and to choose the wisdom that comes from my heart." He added, "I wish my father were alive to see how far I have come today."
Regarding his social life, Saif stated that he enjoys staying home a lot because it allows him to be himself and relax away from the noise of work. Rahma agreed, stating that she is also a "homebody" and does not feel lonely as she has some pets at home. When discussing his secrets, he mentioned that his only confidant is his brother Amir, who knows all the details of his personal life. He concluded by expressing his hope to reach an international level and win the hearts of all people.
