Title: Syrian Actress Sulaf Fawakhirji Talks Again About

The Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakhirji has ignited controversy once again with her comments about the series "Chicago Street" during her recent interview with "Zahrat Al Khaleej" magazine. This comes after the show faced widespread criticism, which she described as a "rare" work that satisfied her with its results.

Fawakhirji noted that, by her usual nature, she does not become attached to any work after completing it; however, "Chicago Street" left a special mark on her, and she hasn't felt fulfilled by it yet. She added that she wouldn't describe it as a complete work due to some shortcomings, but she was content with it and its echoes despite the criticisms it received, affirming that it is one of the most important works that stirred emotions after a long period of stagnation in the artistic arena.

In response to Syrian actress Amal Arafa's denunciation of the bold scenes, even though she also participated in the project, Fawakhirji stated: "No comment, and there is no message for her," indicating that she respects Arafa's opinion as a Syrian artist and that it is her right to express her views, while their friendship remains intact.

In a similar context, Fawakhirji previously justified her perspective in an earlier interview and responded to criticisms directed at the show when some viewers described it as promoting immorality and undermining societal values. She argued that the society we live in inherently contains destructive values and that a dramatic series discussing love will not impact it, emphasizing that a kiss is an invitation for love, aiming to revive the beautiful times when there was beautiful art and clean thinking.

Fawakhirji explained that many of those who criticized her had done something similar when they posted hurtful comments, prompting her to disable comments on Instagram. She noted that in classic cinema, a scene involving a kiss was considered normal, but now it has become something strange and provocative, indicating that we are regressing. She added that she did not regret executing the scene.

It is worth mentioning that Sulaf Fawakhirji is currently starring in the series "Al-Kundosh," written by artist Hussam Tahseen Bak, directed by Samir Hussein, and produced by "MB Production." She expressed her great admiration for the script in one of her interviews, thanking the writer Hussam Tahseen Bak for bringing the true Damascene image back, as she expressed.
