The Hamad Al-Khalifa Stadium in the capital, Doha, hosted the match between Al-Duhail and Al-Ahli as part of the Round of 16 in the current edition of the Amir Cup.
In this match, Al-Duhail advanced to the quarter-finals of the Amir Cup after achieving a resounding victory over their Qatari rival Al-Ahli, scoring six goals without reply.
The first half concluded with Al-Duhail leading 3-0, with Kenyan striker Michael Olunga opening the scoring for Al-Duhail with a penalty in the sixth minute of the match. Brazilian forward Edmilson Junior added the second goal in the 22nd minute, before Olunga scored his second and the third for Al-Duhail in the 43rd minute of the match.
In the second half, Olunga returned to complete his personal hat-trick in the 69th minute before being substituted a minute later for Mohamed Montari. Luis Martin scored the fifth goal for Al-Duhail in the 78th minute, before Edmilson rounded off the scoring with the sixth goal in the last minute of the match.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Ahli played the match with ten players after their player John Benson received a red card in the 85th minute.
