# UAE Announces New Ministerial Formation

On Saturday, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, announced the new ministerial formation for the federal government. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, while Mohammed bin Hadi Al Hussaini was appointed Minister of State for Financial Affairs. Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi was appointed Minister of Justice, and Abdulrahman Al Awar was appointed Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation. Mariam Al Merri was named Minister of Climate Change and Environment with the portfolio for food and water security transferred to the ministry, and Abdullah bin Maheer Al Kuttbi was appointed Minister of Affairs of the Supreme Council for the Union.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also announced a new methodology that comes with the completion of the "UAE Vision 2021" plan, during which the country achieved its ambitions for the previous decade. The Dubai ruler stated, "The UAE today leads the world in 100 developmental indicators and tops the region in 470 governmental, economic, and technical indicators, and we enter the new fifty with different global ambitions."

He added, "We need to change the tools of change that we use. The new methodology for government work will be relied upon to accelerate achievements, set priorities, and approve projects and budgets. We demand that all federal institutions work with it and commit to transitioning towards it."

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid clarified, "The new government will work according to the new methodology we launched today and will focus on the priorities adopted by the President of the State as part of the Principles of the Fifty. It will keep pace with the upcoming phase along with its changes and challenges and rapidly evolving to achieve the goals of the upcoming phase of our developmental journey."

1. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

2. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.

3. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

4. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

5. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan - Member of the Cabinet and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.

6. Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan - Member of the Cabinet and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.

7. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi - Member of the Cabinet and Minister of Cabinet Affairs.

8. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Owais - Member of the Cabinet and Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs.

9. Mohammed bin Hadi Al Hussaini - Member of the Cabinet and Minister of State for Financial Affairs.

10. Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi - Member of the Cabinet and Minister of State for International Cooperation.

11. Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei - Member of the Cabinet and Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
