The 19th edition of the Mediterranean Games 2022 concluded in the city of Oran, Algeria, from June 24 to July 6, 2022. A total of 26 countries participated in this edition of the Mediterranean Games, including 7 Arab countries: "Albania, Andorra, Bosnia, Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Kosovo, Malta, Monaco, Montenegro, Portugal, Macedonia, San Marino, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, Syria, and Algeria."
Italy topped the medal table with a total of 159 medals (48 gold, 50 silver, 61 bronze), followed by Turkey in second place with 108 medals (45 gold, 26 silver, 37 bronze), and France came in third with 81 medals (21 gold, 24 silver, 36 bronze).
**Ranking of Arab Countries:**
Algeria, the host country, ranked first among Arab nations and fourth overall with a total of 53 medals (20 gold, 17 silver, 16 bronze). Spain ranked fifth with 65 medals (16 gold, 25 silver, 25 bronze).
Egypt finished in sixth place in the overall standings of the Mediterranean Games with 51 medals (13 gold, 15 silver, 23 bronze). Tunisia came in third among Arab countries and tenth overall with 27 medals (6 gold, 8 silver, 13 bronze).
Syria ranked fourth among Arab countries and fourteenth overall with 7 medals (4 gold, 3 silver). Morocco placed fifth among Arab countries and fifteenth overall in terms of gold medals with 33 medals (3 gold, 13 silver, 17 bronze).
Libya ranked sixth among Arab countries and twenty-fourth overall with one silver and one bronze medal, while Lebanon failed to win any medals.
