Minister of Public Works and Transport in the caretaker government, Ali Hamieh, tweeted: "According to the resolutions from the National Traffic Safety Council meeting held at the Grand Serail, the Council for Development and Reconstruction has been tasked with proceeding with the maintenance works on the roads, including traffic safety requirements, with an estimated amount of around $22 million from a loan from the World Bank."
