Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu announced the arrest of the person who left a bomb that caused a deadly explosion on Istiklal Street in Istanbul. According to Turkey's official Anadolu Agency, Soylu accused the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) of being behind the attack, which struck the city's most crowded street and resulted in the deaths of 6 people and injuries to over 80. Following the explosion, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated that it was carried out with a bomb and "has the smell of terrorism."
