Avoid Applying Perfume on Hair for This Reason

The Central Association of German Hairdressers has warned against applying perfume to hair as it is composed of 80 to 90% alcohol. If perfume is sprayed on the hair repeatedly, the alcohol will strip moisture from it, causing long-term dryness, making it more susceptible to breakage and falling out, as well as losing its shine and luster. Instead, the association advises using hair perfumes that contain a higher amount of water and nourishing ingredients such as argan oil or hyaluronic acid, which provide an attractive scent while caring for and moisturizing the hair.
