Iraqi Oil Minister Hayyan Abdul-Ghani confirmed today, Sunday, that the country is committed to maintaining a production rate of 220,000 barrels per day in accordance with OPEC+ levels. Abdul-Ghani added in a statement during a conference in Baghdad that Iraq is prepared to increase its production if OPEC+ decides to do so. He stated, "We have compelled some oil companies operating in the south to reduce production to align with the agreed OPEC+ rates."
