Mikati's Office Clarifies: No Contact with Any Israeli Official

The media office of Prime Minister Najib Mikati stated in a release that "media reports are circulating regarding the participation of an Israeli minister in a specialized workshop at the climate conference in Sharm El-Sheikh, which included Prime Minister Najib Mikati alongside delegations from Iraq and Palestine. To clarify, the expanded meeting was convened at the invitation of the Presidents of Egypt and Cyprus, with their participation and a wide international and Arab presence, similar to other activities of the 'climate conference.' There was absolutely no contact with any Israeli official. The fuss created by the Israeli media at such conferences is well-known in its objectives, hence the need for this clarification."
