The Turkish lira dropped to a new record low today, Monday, declining by 1.3% after reaching its lowest point at 23.77 against the dollar overnight. The currency has lost more than 21% of its value this year. JPMorgan expects the Central Bank of Turkey to raise interest rates to 25% from the current 8.5% during its meeting this month.
