Klass Praises Jounieh Mayor's Stance Following Disturbances at Fouad Chehab Stadium

Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. George Klass contacted Jounieh Mayor Sheikh Juan Habich, praising his patriotic stance after the disturbances that affected the Fouad Chehab Sports Complex during the Al Ansar vs. Al Ahed match at the conclusion of the Lebanese Football League. Klass conveyed to Habich his appreciation for the national spirit he displayed in dealing with the destruction and damage incurred, as well as his insistence on continuing to host matches at the stadium and welcoming the football family from all over Lebanon to the city of Jounieh. Klass also expressed his regret for the actions of some fans who deviated from sportsmanship and resorted to violence and chaos as a means of expression, urging the Lebanese Football Federation to address the situation in accordance with the laws and with the necessary wisdom.
