An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 on the Richter scale struck northeast of the Egyptian city of Hurghada, with no reported casualties or material losses, according to the head of the National Institute for Astronomical Research. The institute stated in a statement that "the National Seismic Network station recorded the earthquake at exactly 1:28:26 AM today, Saturday."
