Saudi Arabia Calls for Moon Sighting for Ramadan on Tuesday

The Supreme Court in Saudi Arabia has called on all Muslims throughout the kingdom to look for the sighting of the crescent moon for the blessed month of Ramadan on the evening of Tuesday, March 21. In a statement reported by the Saudi Press Agency "SPA," the court encouraged "those who sight the moon with their naked eye, or through telescopes, to inform the nearest court and record their testimony, or to contact the nearest center to assist them in reaching the closest court."

The statement further expressed hope that "those able to sight the moon will pay attention to this matter and join the committees established in various regions for this purpose, seeking reward and merit through participation, as it involves cooperation in righteousness and piety, benefiting all Muslims."
