The European Union delegation in Israel announced on Monday the cancellation of a diplomatic reception to mark Europe Day due to the planned participation of the far-right Israeli minister Itamar Ben Gvir. The delegation stated on Twitter: "Unfortunately, we have decided to cancel this year's diplomatic reception because we do not want to provide a platform for someone whose views contradict the values represented by the EU."
