A preliminary reading of the real GDP showed on Sunday that the economy of Saudi Arabia grew by 3.9% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2023, driven by the growth of non-oil activities. The General Authority for Statistics reported that "non-oil activities grew by 5.8% in the first quarter compared to a year ago, while oil activities grew by 1.3%." It also noted that government services activities grew by 4.9%.
