UAE Announces Halt on Purchasing Defense Systems from Israel

The UAE has announced its intention to stop purchasing defense systems from Israel following the actions and statements made by Israeli "National Security" Minister Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed stated, "Until we are assured that Prime Minister Netanyahu has a government under control, we cannot proceed with joint matters." Channel 12 reported that the UAE has decided to freeze deals it had reached agreements on with Israel. According to the channel, it was UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed who decided to halt these deals, the most notable being the purchase of defense systems.
