Tunisian President Rejects IMF

Tunisian President Kais Saied rejected the agreement with the International Monetary Fund, following his statements today, Thursday, calling on foreign entities to "return our stolen money." He stated, "We want the world to respect the will of the people, and the outside should respect us." Saied considered that "the impositions of lenders are unacceptable, and reducing subsidies has led to protests in which there were fatalities in Tunisia previously," adding, "public peace is not a game." He confirmed that "instead, Tunisians should rely on themselves."
