Bridge Collapse in Finland Injures 24 People, Including Children

The Finnish rescue service announced today, Thursday, that "approximately 24 people, mostly children, were injured due to the collapse of a temporary pedestrian bridge in the city of Espoo, outside the capital Helsinki." The Helsinki Hospitals Authority stated in a statement that "the injuries of those affected are not serious." Meanwhile, the police clarified that "the temporary bridge was constructed from wooden planks while other construction work is taking place in the area."
