The official Iraqi News Agency quoted a Ministry of Trade official on Saturday, stating that Iraq expects to import between 600,000 and 1 million tons of wheat if this year's harvest season reaches its target of four million tons. Iraqi Minister of Agriculture Abbas Jabr mentioned on March 14 that the country anticipates its wheat production to reach four million tons for the 2022-2023 season.
