British tennis champion Emma Raducanu announced on Wednesday that she will "miss the French Open and Wimbledon after undergoing surgery on her wrists and ankle." She added on Twitter: "It's safe to say that the past ten months have been tough as I dealt with a recurring injury in the bones of both hands, and I will undergo minor surgery on both hands to address the issue." She expressed her disappointment about being sidelined for the next few months: "While I’m at it, I will undergo another minor surgery scheduled on my ankle."
