Statement from the General Security about the Voluntary Return of Syrian Displaced Persons

The General Directorate of General Security, in the context of following up on the issue of Syrian displaced persons wishing to return voluntarily to their cities, indicated that it "will resume facilitating this voluntary return from Lebanon to Syrian territories." It clarified in a statement that "applications will be accepted from Monday to Friday of each week between 3 PM and 6 PM, and those wishing to return voluntarily can start submitting their applications from today, 4/5/2023, at designated centers across Lebanese territory. The conditions of those departing will be settled free of charge immediately upon departure." The directorate added, "For information on the designated centers, please visit the official website of the General Directorate of General Security: www.general-security.gov.lb."
