Agriculture Committee Discusses Preparations for Agricultural-Food Transformation Project

The Parliamentary Agriculture and Tourism Committee, in collaboration with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, held a meeting at the legislative council today, Tuesday, to present preparations related to the project "Agricultural-Food Transformation for Economic Recovery in Lebanon." The meeting was chaired by MP Ayoub Hamid and attended by the Minister of Agriculture in the caretaker government, Abbas Al-Hajj Hasan, along with member MPs and a delegation from the World Bank team. The committee listened to the presentation provided by the World Bank and its components, as well as remarks and opinions from the Minister of Agriculture and the MPs. It was agreed to continue discussions later in subsequent meetings to build on the matter as required.
