White House: Americans Arriving Sequentially in Port Sudan

White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan announced the arrival of "American citizens to Port Sudan" and confirmed that "America is working to facilitate the departure of American citizens wishing to leave Sudan." He urged both parties in the conflict to "commit to an immediate ceasefire and ensure the protection of civilians while we work to evacuate our citizens." Sullivan added that "Washington wants to resume the work of the diplomatic mission as soon as security is restored in the country."
