The official spokesperson for the courts in the Monastir region of Tunisia, Farid Ben Jha, reported today, Wednesday, that "the Tunisian Coast Guard recovered the bodies of 9 African migrants and rescued 29 after their boat sank off the coast of Monastir while they were attempting to reach the Italian shore." He added that "search operations are ongoing for more potential drowned victims in this new tragedy off the Tunisian coast."
