The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre confirmed today, Saturday, that an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 occurred off the coast of Ecuador at a depth of ten kilometers, resulting in at least 4 fatalities and causing some damage to buildings. In this context, Ecuadorian President Guillermo Lasso tweeted: "I urge calm and to inform the people through official channels."
