Bayern Munich Terminates Contract with Nagelsmann and Appoints Tuchel

Bayern Munich, the reigning champions of the German Bundesliga, announced the termination of their contract with coach Julian Nagelsmann and the appointment of former Chelsea coach Thomas Tuchel as his replacement today, Friday. The dismissal of the 35-year-old coach follows Bayern's 2-1 loss to Bayer Leverkusen last Sunday, which put Borussia Dortmund at the top of the league. Nagelsmann took charge in 2021 and led Bayern to their tenth consecutive title in the domestic league last season. Bayern will face Manchester City next month in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
