Geological researcher Tony Nimer reiterated that there is no connection between planetary alignments and the occurrence of earthquakes, and if it does happen, it is only coincidental. In four successive tweets, he documented the summary of globally recognized studies, including one from the National Institute for Earth Science and Disaster Resilience in Japan, which shows planetary alignments during the occurrence of 475 earthquakes worldwide with a magnitude of 7 and above between 1980 and 2018. He explained, "The point here is that for there to be a relationship between planetary alignment and earthquakes, the percentage of earthquakes associated with the alignment must be greater than the percentage of days that have alignments, because 75.37% of the earthquakes during alignments are inherently linked to the high percentage of days with alignments, which is 75.66%."
He added, "Once again, there is no relationship between the occurrence of earthquakes on Earth and planetary alignments, and they cannot be predicted."
