Shoygu: Russia Ready to Enhance the Combat Capabilities of Algerian Forces

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated today, Tuesday, that "Moscow is ready to assist in enhancing the combat capabilities of the Algerian armed forces." This came during his meeting in Russia with Algerian Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Said Chengriha. Russia seeks to expand military cooperation with non-Western countries while facing a counter-offensive from Ukraine in the ongoing war for the past 17 months.
