The newspaper "The National News" reported that the Royal Mint in Britain has issued a gold bar featuring the image of the Kaaba in Mecca, as part of a fundraising campaign for the victims of last month's earthquake in Turkey and Syria. Andrew Dickie, the director of precious metals at the Royal Mint, stated, "Drawing on over 1,100 years of coinage expertise, we have applied our craftsmanship to create a beautiful representation of the Kaaba, the holiest place on earth for Muslims."
He added, "The Kaaba bar, made of gold and presented in a beautiful protective packaging with an Islamic theme, offers a special gift, allowing our customers to give a precious gold gift during Eid al-Fitr or as a secure investment. The bar weighs 20 grams and is priced at £1,119.10."
Dickie noted, "Ramadan is a time of giving, so we are proud to support the Islamic Relief organization, a leading Islamic charity, by donating the Kaaba gold bars at three events in the UK, raising over £9,000."
