UNIFIL Denies Withdrawal from Positions in Southern Lebanon

In response to information circulated regarding the withdrawal of the international forces operating in Southern Lebanon, UNIFIL confirmed in a communication with "Warda" that peacekeeping forces continue to carry out their missions in the best possible ways amid the difficult events experienced today. They added that due to the volatile and dangerous situation, orders were issued for civilian and military personnel to remain in shelters within their bases. UNIFIL affirmed that its forces continue to monitor the situation and use all available communication and coordination mechanisms to reach a quick and peaceful solution.
