Death of Commander of Russian Navy Submarine in Krasnodar

Russian news agency TASS reported today, Monday, that a gunman killed Stanislav Rizetsky, the Deputy Head of the Mobilization Department in the city of Krasnodar, located in southern Russia. The agency added that a criminal case has been opened regarding the murder of Rizetsky, who also commanded the Krasnodar submarine of the Black Sea Fleet (Russian Navy) bearing the same name as the city. The Russian Ministry of Defense indicated that the Krasnodar submarine operates on diesel and electricity and is designed for use by the Black Sea Fleet "to combat surface ships and submarines, lay mines, and conduct reconnaissance."
