India Announces Readiness to Cooperate with Iraq

Iraqi National Security Adviser Qasim al-Araji confirmed that India has expressed its readiness to support Iraq in all areas and to establish memoranda of understanding and coordination between Iraqi and Indian institutions at the political, security, military, energy, and health levels. After meeting with his Indian counterpart Ajit Doval in New Delhi, both sides discussed the relations of friendship and strategic interests between Iraq and India, and ways to develop them in all aspects. Al-Araji emphasized the importance of establishing strategic partnerships between the two countries. The Indian side also announced its readiness to engage Indian industries in partnerships with their Iraqi counterparts in areas such as training, institutional building, and development, as well as the possibility of opening joint lines with Iraq in various industries.
