Title: UN Envoy for Yemen Calls for Peace

The UN mediator for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, indicated today, Monday, that the most important opportunity in eight years is to make progress towards ending the conflict. He warned that "the tide of events may turn if both sides do not take bolder steps towards peace." Grundberg stated before the UN Security Council: "Any new agreement in Yemen must be a clear step towards a Yemeni-led political process, and there is a need for a ceasefire by Yemenis."
