The General Directorate of Internal Security Forces - Public Relations Division announced that "the Beirut Marathon Association will organize a training race for female runners participating in the 2023 Beirut Women's Marathon, covering a distance of 10 km, tomorrow, Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM."
The statement explained that "the route for the training race will start at the Tripoli Municipal Stadium (starting point), heading towards Street 32, reaching the Al-Safadi Roundabout - the International Exhibition of President Rashid Karami, and then returning along the same route to the Tripoli Municipal Stadium (finishing point)."
The directorate indicated that "vehicle traffic will be prohibited along the race route, and traffic will be redirected to nearby side roads until completion," and asked citizens to "be informed and comply with the directives and instructions of the Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as the directional traffic signs placed in the area, to ensure the safety of the runners and prevent congestion."
