The British public and commercial services union announced today, Friday, that over three thousand government employees across four departments will go on strike starting April 11 in protest against wages. The union's general secretary, Mark Serwotka, stated that they "demand the government to hold fruitful discussions with us and put some money on the table to grant them a decent pay raise." The union added that the action will include agencies such as the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
