Israeli Attack Takes Aleppo Airport Out of Service

Israeli warplanes launched strikes late Monday into Tuesday targeting the outskirts of Aleppo. Syrian media reported that air defenses intercepted the attacks and shot down several missiles. The official SANA news agency quoted a military source stating that the assault targeted Aleppo Airport, rendering it inoperable, in addition to several points around it, resulting in the death of one soldier and injuries to seven others, including two civilians. Activists on social media shared video clips they claimed were from the attack on the vicinity of Aleppo Airport, as well as sites belonging to groups supported by Iran and weapons manufacturing facilities in the city’s surroundings.
