U.S. Defense Secretary to Visit Sweden and Germany to Discuss Ukraine Crisis

The U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced in a statement today that "Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin will meet with his counterparts in Sweden and Germany next week to participate in a defense meeting related to Ukraine with senior officials from approximately 50 countries." The statement added that "in Germany, Austin and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley will host the Defense Contact Group on Ukraine on April 21 to discuss the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and to provide its people with the means to protect themselves from ongoing Russian aggression."
