The Minister of Health in the caretaker government, Firas Al-Abyad, affirmed during his meeting with the head of the Nurses Syndicate, Rima Sassine Qazan, in his office at the ministry, the ministry's solidarity with nurses and its full support for their rights, especially as they constitute the cornerstone of the healthcare sector's resilience. He emphasized that "the retention of competent nursing staff in Lebanon is a guarantee for the continuity of healthcare services at a high quality." The meeting concluded with an agreement to discuss this issue with the relevant parties and to consider a minimum wage for nurses based on a flexible rate that reflects changes in the exchange rate.
