Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov accused the United States on Friday of obstructing meetings of the Middle East Quartet, which includes Russia, the United States, the European Union, and the United Nations. In a press conference in Turkey, Lavrov stated that he does not rule out the possibility of holding a direct meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken at the United Nations if there is a "serious proposal" for dialogue. Lavrov is visiting Turkey to discuss the grain export agreement through the Black Sea, the Ukraine crisis, and energy cooperation with Ankara.
