White: Lebanon Has Never Neglected the Displaced

Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Firas White, emphasized during his representation of Lebanon at the third consultative meeting of the World Health Organization on the health of refugees and migrants in Rabat the "necessity for the international community to play its role in providing healthcare for the displaced and refugees by supporting the national health system, so that it can respond to the growing needs of everyone, starting from citizens to residents on national soil, including the displaced and refugees." He pointed out Lebanon's determination to continue working to advance the human right to health for all, affirming "the ministry's comprehensive policy that ensures equal access to health services." He stated, "The right to health is a right for everyone without exception; if this is a right for the displaced and refugees, it is also undoubtedly and automatically a right for the citizens!"
