Russian Media Publishes Image of Shark Attack Victim in Egypt

Russian media revealed the identity of the young man who was killed by a shark yesterday, Thursday, in Hurghada. The official Russian news agency "RIA Novosti" reported that the deceased was 23-year-old Vladimir Popov from the Arkhangelsk region of Russia. It clarified: "He was not a tourist; he had been living permanently in Egypt, where the victim's family purchased an apartment and have been residing in the British resort complex in Hurghada for several months." Authorities in the Red Sea Governorate ordered the closure of all beaches in Hurghada following the shark attack.
