The Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, met with a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), attended by his deputy, Saadeh Al-Shami. This visit comes as part of the IMF's evaluation of the economic and financial situation of various countries, including Lebanon, ahead of the annual advisory report. During the launch of a project to establish a new passenger terminal at Beirut Airport, Mikati revealed the atmosphere of the meeting with the IMF, saying: "The IMF delegation renewed its support for Lebanon and expressed hope that we expedite the approval of the necessary reform measures to sign the final agreement with the Fund, which would open the doors of hope for a better Lebanon and additional support steps from the international community."
