French newspaper "L'Équipe" reported today that Kylian Mbappé has informed his team, Paris Saint-Germain, that he will leave the French Ligue 1 champions after his contract ends next year. Local media indicated that the French forward has decided not to activate the one-year contract extension clause and may leave this summer, as Paris Saint-Germain will try to prevent him from departing for free. Mbappé was in a similar position last year after being linked with a transfer to Real Madrid but extended his contract with the French champions. The 24-year-old player, who scored 41 goals in 43 matches across all competitions this season, is eligible to negotiate with any team in January.
