Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi stated in a statement made last night, at the conclusion of his visit to Khuzestan Province in southwestern Iran, that "economic exchange with Arab countries has increased by 4 to 5 times." Raisi emphasized the necessity of revitalizing the tourism and agricultural economy in Khuzestan, noting that economic transactions with Arab countries have risen four to five times, and Khuzestan has the capability to enhance foreign trade with Arab nations in the Gulf. He mentioned that the Shalamcheh-Basra railway project has been a long-standing desire of the people of Khuzestan and Iraq, providing the foundation to facilitate business activities, and that this line will be completed.
