Minister of Culture Mohammad Wissam Al-Mortada issued a decision to waive the entry fee for Lebanese citizens to the National Museum, starting from 9 AM until 2 PM, beginning today, Wednesday, and lasting for a week until next Tuesday. This decision is in line with the previous one he issued in celebration of World Heritage Day, which also allowed free access to sites such as Baalbek, Anjar, Tyre, and Byblos for Lebanese visitors. Al-Mortada encouraged visits to Qannoubine Valley and the Rashid Karami International Exhibition, expressing hope that those unable to take a field trip due to transportation costs and the economic crisis would make use of virtual visits to the heritage sites.
